'A Girl'

In this poem by Michael Field we see there is a focus of a girl, yet i want to focus my thought on one strong word in the poem. I chose the word mysteries because of the possible meanings of the word to the poem, but also because it is to be examined as an end-point. Looking at the definition it could be read in two very different ways. First, something secret or unexplainable. This relates to the poem because our author might not know the secrets of the girl's body. There is a focus on the parts but we never know if they are only seen or known. Then the other definition is someone with an odd or puzzling nature. This could also be read in this poem. The author could be puzzled by their attraction to this young girl and question themselves.
